Miami Rounds Out Road Trip at Buffalo

The RedHawks and Bulls face off on Saturday at 2 p.m.

ON TAP: Miami (21-5, 12-3 MAC) concludes its road trip at Buffalo (18-8, 10-5 MAC) on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and Miami College Sports Live.

LAST TIME OUT: The RedHawks 11-game win streak was snapped at Kent State with a 58-67 road loss. Savannah Kluesner led the Miami offense with 12 points while Kendall McCoy also reached double figures with 11. McCoy was the RedHawks' leading rebounder with seven boards and sunk a team-high three from behind the arc.

ABOUT BUFFALO: The Bulls sit at third in the east after a decisive 73-43 win at Ohio on Wednesday. This caps an up-and-down February that saw four of Buffalo's five losses in conference play. Against Ohio, Cierra Dillard led the Buffalo offense with 35 points while Summer Hemphill had a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. The Bulls defense forced the Bobcats to shoot just 20.3 percent from the floor on Wednesday.

SERIES WITH THE BULLS: Miami owns a 20-19 lead in the all-time series with Buffalo, though the Bulls have won the last six meetings between the two teams. On January, 12, 2019, Buffalo handed Miami its lone conference loss at home by a 66-59 margin on a second-half comeback after the RedHawks held an eight-point lead at halftime. McCoy led the RedHawks scoring with 20 points to reach 1,000 career points while Kluesner picked up a double-double, scoring 12 and grabbing 14 rebounds. Leah Purvis also scored in double figures with 12 points and Lauren Dickerson had a career-high 10 assists. Dillard led the Bulls' second-half comeback with the majority of her 26 points coming in the second half. Theresa Onwuka tallied a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

LOOKING AHEAD: Miami returns home for the remainder of the regular season schedule. The RedHawks host Ohio in the Battle of the Bricks on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Miami's regular season finale is next Saturday as the RedHawks host the Zips at 2 p.m.
