The RedHawks skated to a 59.90 in the short program at the Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy.
ZAGREB, Croatia – One skate is in the books for the weekend as Miami's senior synchronized skating program is fourth after day one of the Zagreb Snowflakes Championship.
The RedHawks performed their Survivor-themed short program and turned in a score of 59.90. That score trails Tatarstan's (Russia) 79.60, Skyliners' 72.10 and Team Berlin's 64.82 among the six-team competition.
"We had a great skate today," head coach Carla DeGirolamo said. "I think we had our best short program performance of the year, we just didn't get the technical calls this time around."
Miami wraps up the competition with the free skate on Saturday and the Red & White's collegiate program also competes at the Tri-State Championships as well.
