SALT LAKE CITY, Utah— The Miami University senior synchronized skating team opened competition at the 2026 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships Friday evening with its short program. The RedHawks are in fourth place heading to Saturday's free skate.

- The RedHawks earned a short program score of 70.38 Friday, skating to 'What a Wonderful World.'
- Miami recorded an executed element score of 38.46 and a program component score of 32.92.
- Following the first segment of competition, Miami sits in fourth place in a six team field.
- Leading the field after the short program is the Haydenettes (ST) with a score of 83.62.

- The RedHawks return to the ice Saturday, March 7, for the senior free skate, which will determine the final standings at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
