LAST TIME OUT: The RedHawks scored the most points of their season with an 81-62 win at Western Michigan on Saturday. Miami shot just over 50 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from long range as a sharp-shooting 69.2 percent fourth quarter allowed the RedHawks to pull away.
Lauren Dickerson and
Savannah Kluesner each registered a 20-point game to lead the RedHawks' offense while
Kendall McCoy and
Leah Purvis also reached double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively.
ABOUT EASTERN MICHIGAN: After starting conference play at an even 3-3, the Eagles have dropped their last two game - the most recent loss in overtime. On Saturday, Eastern Michigan fell to Northern Illinois by a 65-68 margin in overtime. Â The Eagles had a 13-point lead in the second half but gave up a rally from NIU that forced the game into overtime. Danielle Minott lead Eastern Michigan's offense with her second-straight 20-point game, totaling 22 points. Minott also leads the Eagles' offense this season, averaging 15.7 points per game. Corrione Cardwell and Courtnie Lewis each average double-figured scoring with 13.3 and 10.5 points per game, respectively. Jenna Annecchiarico leads EMU with 3.5 assists per game while Cardwell averages 2.7 dishes per game.
SERIES WITH THE EAGLES: Miami leads the all-time series 41-19 and the series in Oxford 18-9. The teams split a pair of games last season with each team winning on the road. On January 24, 2018, the RedHawks won by a 73-69 margin in Ypsilanti.
