Savannah Kluesner had a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Kendall McCoy and
Leah Purvis also reached double figures withh 13 and 11 points, respectively. The win was the 11th in a row for Miami, tying its fifth-longest win streak in program history.
ABOUT KENT STATE: The Golden Flashes (15-10, 8-6 MAC) lost to Ohio by two points for the second time this season on Saturday, falling 67-69. Kent State rallied back from a double-digit deficit in the fourth quarter but Ohio closed out the game with the go-ahead basket with 45 seconds to play. Lindsay Thall had a career-high 22 points while Megan Carter added 18. Carter, Thall and Asiah Dingle are all averaging double figures this season with Carter leading with 16.5 points per game.
SERIES WITH THE GOLDEN FLASHES: Miami has a 46-44 lead in the all-time series against Kent State, including the last three meetings. On January 26, 2019, the RedHawks beat the Golden Flashes by a 79-63 margin after jumping to a 22-10 lead after the first 10 minutes of play. Miami had four players reach double figures as Dickerson and Kluesner led the offense with 19 points apiece.
Kristen Levering had 15 points and Purvis put up 11. Carter and Thall paced the Kent State offense with 21 and 16 points, respectively. The RedHawks shot 54 percent from the floor.
