The RedHawks will perform their programs one more time before heading to nationals.
OXFORD, Ohio – With the US Synchronized Skating Championships coming up in a week, Miami is getting one more performance under its belt in front of the home fans at Steve 'Coach' Cady Arena.
The RedHawks host their annual Nationals Send-Off exhibition on Sunday afternoon. That event is free for the public to attend and begins at 3:30 p.m.
Miami's senior team has posted fifth and fourth-place international finishes at the Leon Lurje Trophy and Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy since returning from the winter break. Prior to that break, the RedHawks achieved their top short program (67.16) and combined (187.54) scores in a runner-up finish at the Dr. Richard Porter Classic back in December.
The Red & White's collegiate team has won every competition it has skated in this season and is gunning for its 19th national title next week. Its top score remains its Dr. Richard Porter Classic mark of 97.52.
Following Sunday's performance, MU heads to Plymouth, Mich., for the US Synchronized Skating Championships March 1-2.
