Miami Hosts Northern Illinois Wednesday

The RedHawks host the Huskies for a rematch from earlier in the season.
ON TAP: Miami (17-4, 8-2 MAC) hosts Northern Illinois on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans can also listen to the game on Miami College Sports Live and RedHawk Radio.
HALFTIME ENTERTAINMENT: Millett Hall welcomes the Miami University Percussion Ensemble as the game's halftime performance.
LAST TIME OUT: Miami orchestrated a comeback win at Bowling Green on Saturday, earning the 82-75 victory. Lauren Dickerson led the RedHawks' offense with 31 points, scoring 17 in the fourth quarter, and tying her season-high six three-pointers. Dickerson went on a 12-0 scoring run to give Miami a 79-70 lead with 1:13 to play in the game. Savannah Kluesner and Leah Purvis also reached double figures, scoring 16 and 12, respectively. Kristen Levering pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.
ABOUT NORTHERN ILLINOIS: The Huskies (14-8, 6-4 MAC) are on a three-game win streak, two of those wins coming on the road. On Saturday, Northern Illinois beat Ball State on the road by a 93-83 margin. The Cardinals had five players score in double figures but could not stop NIU's Mikayla Voigt as she scored 37 points and made eight shots from behind the arc. Voigt leads the Huskies offense this season, scoring 21.4 points per game, while Ally May leads NIU with 8.6 rebounds per game.
SERIES WITH THE HUSKIES: Northern Illinois leads the all-time series 20-19 after winning the previous matchup with Miami this season. On January 5, the Huskies won on their home court by an 82-71 margin. Savannah Kluesner and Lauren Dickerson led Miami's offense with 27 and 25 points, respectively, while Kendall McCoy also reached double figures with 13. Kluesner registered a double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds.
LOOKING AHEAD: The RedHawks are back on the road for a pair of games. Miami faces Akron for the first time this season on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. The Red and White then travels to Toledo next Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.
