ON TAP: Miami (0-0) travels to DePaul to open the 2019-20 season with the first round of the pre-season WNIT. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. inside Wintrust Arena. Fans can listen to the game on The Miami Sports Network from Van Wagner.
LAST TIME OUT: The RedHawks hosted Findlay on Halloween night for an exhibition game. Miami is coming off of a 23-9 season overall, amassing a 13-5 record in Mid-American Conference play. The RedHawks advanced to the MAC Tournament Semifinals before making a WNIT appearance but ultimately falling to Western Kentucky in the first round by a 63-67 margin.
ABOUT DEPAUL: The Blue Demons are coming off of a 26-8 season with a 14-4 mark in Big East games. DePaul won the Big East Tournament Championship, beating Marquette by a 74-73 margin in a comeback victory, to advance to the NCAA Tournamen. The Blue Demons would fall to Missouri State 78-89 in the first round. DePaul returns seven players and adds five freshman and two transfers to the roster for the 2019-20 season. The Blue Demons return the second-leading scorer and rebounder from the 2018-19 squad in senior forward Chante Stonewell, who averaged 14.3 ppg and 6.6 rpg as a junior.
SERIES WITH THE BLUE DEMONS: This is the first meeting between Miami and DePaul.
