
RedHawks Off to Solid Start at Diamond Classic

Miami opened with a 57.09 score in its short program to grab a lead over Adrian.
MENTOR, Ohio – Miami synchronized skating's 2019-20 season officially began as the senior team got its first scored performance of its short program on Friday.
The RedHawks grabbed the day one lead over Adrian College at the Diamond Classic on Friday, posting a total score of 57.09 compared to Adrian's 48.13.
MU's Amazing Grace short program recorded a technical score of 29.67 along with a component score of 27.42 to net its total. The Red & White's short program score is within three points of their 59.88 they began with at last year's Diamond Classic.
Miami closes out the competition with its free skate on Saturday morning with the collegiate team making its competitive debut in the early afternoon as well.
