Miami Heads to Northwestern's Wildcat Invite

Ramasamy will play in the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa as well.
OXFORD, Ohio - The RedHawks will head to Northwestern University this weekend for their third straight weekend of fall tournament action, while Brindtha Ramasamy will once again head to an ITA tournament to take on some of the top players in the nation.
Miami will be at Northwestern for the Wildcat Invitational from Friday through Sunday, while Ramasamy will be in Tulsa for the pre-qualifying round of the ITA Women's All-American Championships.
LAST TIME OUT
The majority of the 'Hawks played at Indiana last weekend, where Makenzie Myers and Laura Rico led the team with three singles wins each. Brindtha Ramasamy played at the ITA Oracle Masters in California, dropping her opening match but making a run to the consolation bracket semifinals after consecutive wins.
ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Ramasamy will split off from the rest of the RedHawks for the third straight week to play in yet another high-profile fall tournament, the ITA All-American Championships. She will play the pre-qualifying stage of the tournament this weekend at the University of Tulsa, and should she advance she will play in the qualifying stage from Oct. 7-8 and the main draw from Oct. 9-13.
WILDCAT INVITATIONAL
The rest of the RedHawks will head to another fall invitational with big-name competition this weekend at Northwestern's Wildcat Invitational. Play will run from Friday to Sunday with doubles and singles competition, with Friday's play slated to begin at 10 a.m. Among the teams at NU are several power-five teams in Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue, Kentucky, and the host Wildcats along with other strong mid-major programs with the likes of James Madison and Princeton.
