The RedHawks notched their second-straight score over 90 to earn the win.
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The first meet in a month and a half was a successful one as Miami's collegiate synchronized skating team cruised to a first-place finish at Synchro Illinois.
The RedHawks claimed the crown by a nearly 18-point margin, finishing with a score of 90.24. That score topped Western Michigan (72.88), Michigan State (70.40) and Illinois (57.03). This is MU's second-straight score above 90 and it has placed first in each meet thus far this season.
While Miami's collegiate team is off until the Tri-State Championship on Feb. 9, the senior program starts international competition on Jan. 26 when it takes part in the Leon Lurje Trophy in Gothenburg, Sweden.
