OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University swimming and diving team begins the regular season with a meet at Michigan against Michigan and Oakland on Friday at 5 p.m.

Zach Hinsley return for their second season, while
Jake Larson is the newest addition to the coaching staff.
The men finished third and the women finished fourth at the 2018 MAC Championships. The women finished with an even 4-4 record in dual meets and won the Miami Invitational. The men went 2-4 in dual meets and finished third in the Miami Invitational.

Izzy Herb led the Miami women with four first-place finishes each. Freshman

Brandon Crist led the newcomers with two wins.

Last season, the Michigan women went undefeated in dual meets, beating all ten of their opponents. The Michigan women won the Georgia Fall Invitational and the Big Ten Championship before coming in fourth at the NCAA Championships. The Michigan men finished with an 8-1 record in dual meets last season. The men were the runner ups in the Georgia Fall Invitational and the Big Ten Championships before finishing eighth at the NCAA Championships.
Last season, the Oakland women compiled a 7-3 dual-meet record, finished third in the Dennis Sparks Relays and fourth at the Zippy Invite. The Oakland men finished dual meets 4-3, third in the Dennis Sparks Relays and won the Zippy Invite. Both the Oakland women and men won the Horizon League Championships.
