
Golf Finishes in 10th at the Northern Intercollegiate

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. – The Miami University golf team finished up the darkness delayed second round of the Northern Intercollegiate on Sunday and then shot a final round of one-over par 289 to finish in 10th place at 28-over par. Marquette finished in first place as a team at 10-over par. The individual champion was Hunter Ostrom from Notre Dame at six-under par.
Sophomore Charlie Nikitas finished off the weekend strong by shooting a 74 in round two and a 71 in the final round. He ended the tournament tied for fourth at even par. Right behind Nikitas was redshirt senior Brian Ohr who finished the final two rounds with a 72 and 71. This placed Ohr tied for 12th overall at three-over par.
Rounding out the RedHawks were freshman Jack Ebner, junior Cam Solomon, and sophomore Jack Mortell. Ebner finished his first collegiate tournament tied for 50th at 13-over par and shot a 73 in the final round. Solomon shot a 75 in round two and a 74 in round three to finish tied for 57th at 14-over par. Mortell finished in 71st at 18-over par after shooting a 77 in both the second and third round.
Miami will return to action September 24- 25 to compete at the Bearcat Invitational.
