Golf Sixth After Two Rounds of Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Miami University golf team finds itself in sixth place after two rounds of the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday. The RedHawks shot a first round team score of 297 in the morning and followed it up with a second round team score of 296 in the afternoon to sit at 17-over par and only three shots out of fourth place. Host school UNC-Wilmington leads the tournament at eight-under par.
Sophomore Cam Solomon paced Miami on Sunday. He opened with a 75 in the morning. He followed with a one-under par 71 in the afternoon, the best score for any RedHawk on the day. Solomon is currently tied for at two-over par, six shots out of the individual lead.
Senior Patrick Flavin opened with a 73 and then shot 75 in the afternoon. He is tied for 23rd at four-over par. Right behind him is redshirt junior Brian Ohr, who is tied for 27th at five-over par after rounds of 74 and 75. And right behind him is freshman Charlie Nikitas. He shot two rounds of 75 and is tied for 29th at six-over par. Freshman Jack Herceg rounds out Miami after rounds of 80 and 77. He is tied for 55th at 13-over par.
The final round of the Seahawk Intercollegiate will tee off at 9 am on Monday. Live stats can be found here.
