Miami Hosts Cross-Town Rival Cincinnati

The RedHawks and Bearcats meet for the 33rd time.
ON TAP: Miami returns to Millett Hall to host cross-town rival Cincinnati on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. This is the Faculty/Staff appreciation game and the Give Back game. The game will be aired live on ESPN+. Â Fans can listen to the game on Miami College Sports live.
LAST TIME OUT: Miami (5-1) beat the University of Illinois-Chicago (1-5) by a 65-56 margin on Saturday. Leah Purvis and Baleigh Reid each had season highs in points, scoring 18 and six, respectively. Kendall McCoy tied her season high with 16 points. Lauren Dickerson tied her career high with nine assists.
ABOUT CINCINNATI: The Bearcats (5-4) lost to Ohio State by a 56-69 margin on Sunday. Sam Rodgers, Antoinette Miller and Ilmar'i Thomas all scored in double figures against the Buckeyes. Nikira Goings leads the Cincinnati offense with 11.4 points per game and two three-pointers per game. Miller leads the Bearcats with 24 steals and 44 assists and is second on the team with 10.1 points per game.
SERIES WITH THE BEARCATS: Cincinnati leads the all-time series 17-15 against Miami. The Bearcats have won the previous two meeting with the RedHawks. In 2017, Cincinnati won by a 62-72 margin. Savannah Kluesner led the Miami offense with 17 points off of the bench while Lauren Dickerson and Leah Purvis scored 14 and 11, respectively. The RedHawks shots 50 percent from the floor (24-of-48) including seven from behind the arc.
