LAST TIME OUT: The RedHawks improved to a 7-1 record with a win at Valparaiso - the program's best start in history.

Kendall McCoy all scored in double figures. Miami had its best defensive showing of the season, only allowing three points in the third quarter and forcing Valpo to shoot just 18 percent from the floor in the second half. The RedHawks defense did not allow a field goal in the last 6:20 of the game.
ABOUT FLORIDA A&M: The Rattlers hold a 1-6 record this season. FAMU's lone win was against Edward Waters College by a 70-64 margin. Most recently, the Rattlers dropped a game at Florida by a 38-62 margin this past Sunday. Candice Williams leads the Florida A&M offense with 10.8 points per game despite only playing four games so far this season. Williams has been the leading FAMU scorer in three of the four games she's played. Mya Moye leads the Rattlers in three-pointers with 12 while Tyra James leads with 13 assists and Jasmine Ballew leads with 4.4 rebounds per game.
SERIES WITH THE RATTLERS: Miami has both victories in the all-time series with Florida A&M. The RedHawks beat the Rattlers last season by 73-33 margin in Millett Hall.
Kendall McCoy led Miami's offense with 18 points off the bench while
Lauren Dickerson also scored in double figures with 11 of her own including three from behind the arc. The RedHawks defense held the Rattlers to just four points in the second quarter and five in the third quarter while keeping them off the scoreboard from long range.
