Miami Takes on Boston University in NCAA Tournament

The opening round of the NCAA Tournament will be played on Wednesday.
OXFORD, Ohio – The Miami University field hockey team (15-6, 6-0 MAC) will play in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday with a game at Boston University at noon.
Tickets can only be purchased on game day, beginning at 11 a.m. Adult tickets are $5 while youth and students are $3.
Last weekend, top-seeded Miami won the MAC Tournament. On Friday, the RedHawks beat the Bobcats by a 5-0 in the semifinal round. Miami earned the tournament championship on Saturday with a 5-3 win over Kent State. Avery Sturm, Estel Roig, Kendall Hunker and Noor Breedijk were named to the All-Tournament Team with Sturm also being named Tournament MVP.

ABOUT BOSTON UNIVERSITY: The Terriers finished the regular season with a 10-7 overall record and a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. Boston University won the Patriot League Tournament by beating Lafayette and American, both by a 2-1 margin. The Terriers' offense is led by sophomore forward Alisa Connolly and sophomore forward/midfielder Petra Hall, scoring 20 and 19 points, respectively.
SERIES WITH BOSTON UNIVERSITY: The Terriers own the wins in all five previous meetings with the RedHawks. During the regular season, Boston University beat Miami by a 2-1 margin. Mariona Heras put the 'Hawks on the board with a penalty corner goal.
