
Women Set to Open Indoor Season at Bowling Green

Saturday's BG Opener will serve as an early warm-up for the track and field season.
OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University women's track and field team will get the first indoor event of the 2018-19 season under its belt Saturday at Bowling Green's BG Opener. The meet is slated for a 6:00 p.m. start time at Perry Field House.
The RedHawks will be one of four teams in attendance at the meet, joining Ball State, Cleveland State, and the host Falcons. The meet will be unscored.
Field events will start at 6 p.m., with track events to follow at 7. The full meet schedule can be found below.
The RedHawks return several members of a squad that finished 10th in last year's Mid-American Conference Championships. Four MAC-finalist jumpers return in sophomore Mikaylah Woods, juniors Hannah Falcione and Olivia Bechtel, and senior Molly Balcer, as do pole vaulters Lauren Boyd, Lexi Addington, and Grace Dima. On the track, several letterwinners will be back for the 'Hawks, including Bechtel, Emily Hooker, and Kalliopi Kountouri.
