SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Miami University's golf team will compete in the Fighting Irish Classic this Sunday and Monday. Miami has not competed there since head coach Zac Zedrick's first year with the team.
Warren Golf Course is the home course of the University of Notre Dame and will be the location of the Fighting Irish Classic. This course is a par-71, 7,020-yard course.
The RedHawks will face off against Georgia Southern, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, NIU, Southern Alabama, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Wisconsin and host Notre Dame.
"It's not a golf course that a lot of our guys have much experience playing," said coach Zac Zedrick. "It's going to be very important that we get a really good plan in the practice round and then guys are committed to what they are doing."
The five golfers representing Miami at the Fighting Irish Classic will be redshirt senior Brian Ohr, junior Cam Solomon, sophomore Charlie Nikitas, sophomore Jack Mortell and freshman Jack Ebner.
The first 36 holes will begin on Sunday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start followed by the final 18 holes on Monday at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring can be found here via Birdiefire.
