
Miami Finishes in Eighth at Chatham Hills Collegiate

WESTFIELD, Ind -Â Miami University battled through the cold weather on Monday to shoot an 11-over par final round of 299 at the Chatham Hills Collegiate. Miami finished in eighth place at 14-over par, while the team champion was Purdue at 18-under par. There was a tie between Austin Crowder of IUPUI and David Nyfjall of Northwestern at 11-under par for the individual title.
Miami was led by sophomore Charlie Nikitas with an even par 72 in the final round. Nikitas finished the tournament in a tie for 12th at two-under par. Redshirt senior Brian Ohr also shot an even par last round and ended at two-over par in a tie for 25th.
Only two strokes separated junior Cam Solomon, sophomore Jack Mortell, and freshman Jack Ebner. Solomon shot a five-over par 77 in the final round to finish in 43rd at nine-over par. Mortell finished right behind Solomon in 44th after shooting a nine-over par 81 in the final round. Tied for 45th at 11-over par was Ebner, who shot six-over par in round three.
Junior Jack Katarincic competed as an individual for Miami the past two days. Katarincic shot rounds of 73, 81, and 86 to finish in 66th at 24-over par.
Miami will conclude its fall season October 22-23 when it competes at the Little Rock Invitational.
