FRANKLIN, Tenn. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" The Miami University golf team is in 11th place after the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday. The RedHawks shot a round of 295 to find themselves at 11-over par. Florida leads the tournament after shooting an eight-under par round of 276.
Junior Patrick Flavin had the best round of the day for Miami with a two-under par 69. He is currently tied for eighth, only three shots behind round one individual leader Theo Humphrey of Vanderbilt.
Senior Greg Conrad finds himself in a tie for 41st after a two-over par round of 73 on Friday. Right behind him is redshirt sophomore Brian Ohr, who is tied for 49th after shooting three-over 74. Redshirt freshman JD Fletcher is tied for 71st after an eight-over par round of 79, while freshman Joshua Cushing is 77th after an 11-over par round of 82.
The Mason Rudolph Championship continues with round two on Saturday. The RedHawks will tee off on the back nine, beginning at 9:45 a.m. (EDT).
