OXFORD, Ohio - For the fourth year in a row, the Miami University senior synchronized skating team will head to the Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria, to represent Team USA. The event, which has competition dates set for Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21, will be held at Eisarena Salzberg.
At last year's competition, the RedHawks captured their best result at the event to date, finishing in second place to earn a silver medal amongst a 13-team field. This year, the team will go up against 10 other teams from eight different countries.
Following a day of practice on Thursday at Gmunden Eishalle, Miami's first chance to compete will be on Friday when it performs its short program. The RedHawks conclude the competition with their free skate program on Saturday.
