Dawson Named Coordinator of New Media

Sept. 7, 2016 OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Dave Meyer announced the hiring of Chris Dawson as the Intercollegiate Athletic Department's Coordinator for New Media on Wednesday.
Dawson spent the 2014-15 academic year at Miami working as a video production assistant.
"Chris is the perfect team member to our staff," Meyer said. "He works hard, cares about people, is always smiling and wants to make a difference for Miami Athletics. His knowledge and skill level will allow us to reach the next level of social media."
During his previous stint at Miami, Dawson ran the video streams of all Miami Athletic events, setting up cameras, organizing work crews and directing the live productions. Additionally, he helped produce the intro videos for Miami hockey, men's and women's basketball during the 2014-15 season. He also assisted with special video projects.
Dawson has also plied his trade as a multimedia expert as a web designer for Yellow Pages Group (2016) and media specialist for Spotted Horse Ranch (2012-14). He also served as creative content manager for Bowling Green's Bowen-Thompson Student Union (2012-13), production student leader and production assistant at WBGU-TV (PBS) (2010-13) and videographer/editor for Showcase Video Productions (2011-12).
Dawson graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor of science in visual communication technology in May, 2014.
