Red and White Prepare For MAC Championships in Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - In the second half of split squad action, the Miami University track and field program took on the Kentucky Relays on Saturday.
The RedHawks got things started in the women's javelin, where Danielle Collier finished second marking 135-11. Aaryn Gray was fifth with a mark of 131-10 and Tessa Brooks was seventh on the day throwing 117-11. Collier also took seventh in the discus marking 127-7.
In hammer action, Zubin Coleman was fifth in the men's competition with a mark of 177-11. For the women, Martha Szekely marked 174-9 for fourth. Ashley Frahm's mark of 163 feet gave her seventh overall. Coleman also took ninth in the men's discus marking 145 feet.
The shot put saw Arionna Darling mark 47-3.75 for fifth. Fellow RedHawks Ashley Frahm and Katie Walter were seventh and eighth, throwing 44-9.75 and 44-9, respectively. Andrew Vollet took third in the men's competition, marking 55-5.75.
In the women's pole vault, Hope Turner cleared 11-9.75 to take seventh on the day. Emily Fletchall was eighth with a height of 11-3.75.
The RedHawks will head to Toledo next weekend for the Mid-American Conference Championships.
