RedHawks End in 15th Place at Lone Star Invitational

SAN ANTONIO - The Miami University golf team finished out the Lone Star Invitational in 15th on Tuesday. The RedHawks posted a 23-over round of 311 in the third and final round to finish 67-over par for the event. New Mexico held on to their lead and won the event at 13-over par.
Sophomore Patrick Flavin posted a one-over par round of 73 on the final day to finish tied for 11th overall. Flavin shot nine-under on par-fives, averaging just 4.25 strokes per hole. He recorded 11 birdies throughout the tournament.
Senior Jack Sparling had a six-over round of 78 in the last round and ended up tied for 62nd place. Sparling is on the leaderboard for pars with 34 over the course of the event.
Redshirt freshman Brian Ohr recorded a 10-over round of 82 to tie for 78th place. Ohr ranked third among all players with a 3.00 par-3 average. Ohr dominated the par-three holes, posting a 3.08 average - good for second among all players.
Junior Greg Conrad ended his week with a nine-over round of 81 to tie for 81st place. Senior Bud Radis closed with a seven-over round of 79 and wound up tied for 96th place.
Playing as an individual, senior Daniel Schwarz had his best round of the week with a seven-over round of 79 to place him in a tie for 84th place. Also unattached, Bailey Truesdell turned in a nine-over round of 81 in the last round. The senior finished tied for 87th place.
The RedHawks head right to Lake Worth, Florida, to participate in the FAU Slomin Autism Championship. The event takes place Friday through Sunday with teams playing one round each day.
