Women's MAC Championships are Underway

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio ââ'¬" The Miami University women's swimming and diving team is currently in fifth place out of eight teams in the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Today was the first day of competition, which opened up with the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The 200-yard medley relay team consisted of junior Brittany Dudzinski, junior Stephanie LeMire, senior Gabby Veri and senior Sara Krueger. The quad touched the wall in 1:40.36, earning fourth place and 30 points.
Junior Logan Klinsky, Krueger, freshman Allison Pierce and freshman Grace Van Fossen placed sixth in the 800-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 7:22.63 and earning 26 points for Miami.
Prelims will start tomorrow at 11 a.m. and finals at 7 p.m.
The events that will be run tomorrow are the 500-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard IM, 50-yard freestyle, one-meter dive and 200-yard freestyle relay.
The cost of attendance will be $7 for a single session or $25 for the entire championship for adults. Students K-12 can purchase tickets for $5 per session or $15 for an all-sessions pass, while MAC students with a valid ID and children five and under will be given free admission. Doors will open to the public one hour prior to the first event of each session.
