Ohr was Miami's top golfer at the Golfweek Conference Challenge last weekend. He finished in a tie for 12th at one-under par. He showed consistency in all three rounds, finishing with two rounds of 71 and one round of 73.
This is the first time this season and second time in his career that Ohr has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week. He previously won it for the week of April 25-May 1, 2016.
Scavuzzo continued her strong junior campaign by putting together a complete effort to win amidst a crowded field at the All-Ohio Championship. Scavuzzo clocked a time 21:28.8 to shatter her 6K personal best and post her first cross country individual win of her career. The Medina, Ohio native finished 10 seconds ahead of her next closest competitor and helped the RedHawks claim the Division I team title.
This is the first time this season and in her career that Scavuzzo has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week.
The next Miami Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday, Oct. 10.
