Military Appreciation Game Tuesday and Coaches vs. Cancer Week

OXFORD, Ohio-Miami University's men's basketball team returns home to host a pair of Mid-American Conference games this week, and there are a pair of special observances on tap. The RedHawks' Tuesday, Jan. 26 game against Central Michigan is their Military Appreciation game, while Miami will be taking part in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Coaches vs. Cancer initiative at both of its home games this week.
As part of the Military Appreciation game, members of the military and their families will receive a special ticket price of $8 per ticket with a military ID. There will be several recognitions of military personnel throughout the evening.
January 25-31 is the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week. During the week, coaches and their staffs across the nation will wear sneakers with their suits during games to raise awareness about the fight against cancer. Miami will observe this at both its Tuesday, January 26 game at 7 p.m. against Central Michigan and Saturday, Jan. 30 game at 3:30 p.m. against Northern Illinois.
Saturday's game also is a McFamily and Friends day with a special ticket package that includes four game tickets and four McDonald's Extra Value Meal vouchers for just $30.
