Bowling Green Edges Out Miami

OXFORD, Ohio -- Miami University women's swimming and diving team came up just short against MAC rival Bowling Green Friday afternoon at Cooper Pool, 151-149.
Junior Stephanie LeMire and sophomore Holly Schuster gained a huge chunk of points for the RedHawks in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard IM. LeMire won the 200-yard IM (2:07.16) with Schuster 0.12 seconds behind in second place (2:07.28). Schuster finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 2:20.76, and LeMire came in third with a time of 2:20.84, 0.12 seconds behind Schuster. LeMire clocked in second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.94) and Schuster in third (1:05.65).
In the one-meter dive, Miami finished 1-2-3, with junior Pei Lin leading the pack (321.30). Fellow juniors Jenna Karrow (267.90) and Taylor LeCount (263.47) finished in second and third, respectively. Lin also won the three-meter dive with a score of 379.88. Lin both broke Cooper Pool records with her scores.
Junior Logan Klinsky touched the wall in 1:54.12, earning her first place in the 200-yard freestyle. She also finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:10.67).
Freshman Grace Van Fossen clocked in first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.68.
The RedHawks will compete in their last home meet of the 2015-16 season against Akron on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 1 p.m.
