Pei Lin Named MAC Diver of the Year

CLEVELAND—Miami University’s sophomore diver, Pei Lin, was named the Mid-American Conference Diver of the Year. The conference office announced this after the MAC Championships on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Lin is from Shantou City of Guangdong Province, China. She went to the Guangdong Institute of Sport affiliated Middle & High School.
She has competed in only four of Miami’s 11 meets this season, but she never lost an event, winning all eight she has participated in, including the MAC Championship meet.
At the MAC Championships, Lin set a meet record in the 1-meter dive with a score of 334.00. She also won the 3-meter dive in the meet, where she earned a score of 365.10. Both of these were Lin’s best dives of the season.
Lin will compete next at the Zone Diving meet, which will take place March 12-14 in West Lafayette, Ind., at Purdue University.
