Miami Concludes Zone Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Day two of the Zone C Diving Championships wrapped up with the three-meter diving competition at Ohio State’s McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion, Friday afternoon.
Miami was represented by juniors Michael Nash and Cole Fryman. Nash was the top finisher for the RedHawks in 25th place with a total score of 279.05 and an average round score of 46.51. Last year, when Nash competed in this event, he turned in an 18th –place finish. Fryman concluded his first zone diving competition with a 32nd-place finish. The junior diver tallied a total of 235.50 points and averaged 46.51 points per round. In the final round, Purdue’s Steele Johnson claimed first place with his cumulative score of 882.70.
Looking ahead, the RedHawk swimmers who made the cut will travel to Iowa City, Iowa to compete in the NCAA Championships beginning March 26th.
