Day Two of MAC Championships Completed

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Miami University’s women’s swimming and diving team had a successful second day at the MAC Championships, moving them from seventh to fourth place in the overall standings.
Sophomore diver Pei Lin set a MAC Championship meet record today with a score of 334.00. Her performance earned her 20 team points and first place.
The 200-yard IM brought a total of 30 points in for the RedHawks, with sophomores Elise Campbell (2:01.60) coming in third place and Stephanie LeMire (2:01.71) finishing in fifth place.
Senior Annie Marquiss clocked in at 23.24 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, earning her sixth place and 13 points for Miami.
Finishing in eighth place in the 500-yard freestyle was senior Stephanie Pearce. She touched the wall in 4:58.16, adding 11 points to the team’s score.
Closing out day two of the MAC Championships was the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Elise Campbell, junior Natalie Rohr, junior Sara Krueger and Marquiss clocked in at 1:33.32. This time earned them a sixth-place finish and 26 points.
Prelims start tomorrow at 11 a.m. and finals are at 7 p.m.
