Women's MAC Championships are Underway

YPSILANTI, Mich.--Miami University's women's swimming and diving team is currently in seventh place out of eight teams in the MAC Championships.
Today was the first day of competition, which opened up with the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The 200-yard medley relay team for the RedHawks consisted of sophomore Brittany Dudzinski, sophomore Stephanie LeMire, freshman Katherine Kuhl and senior Annie Marquiss. They touched the wall in 1:41.77, earning them fifth place and 28 points.
Miami's 800-yard freestyle relay team was comprised of sophomore Elise Campbell, junior Sara Krueger, senior Caitlin Fujan and senior Whitney Mitchell. The team finished in seventh place, clocking in 7:25.60, receiving 24 points.
Eastern Michigan, Buffalo and Akron lead the competition with 66 points. Bowling Green and Ohio are tied for fourth place with 62 points. Sixth through eighth places belong to Toledo (54), Miami (52) and Ball State (44).
Prelims start tomorrow at 11 a.m. and finals at 7 p.m.
