Senior Team Wins Anaheim ICE Championship

Skating both programs in the same day, Miami got off to a strong start in the short program, seizing first place by a 13-point margin. Skating to the song “Breath of Life”, the RedHawks posted a score of 61.82 for their short program. Skyliners followed in second place with a score of 48.82. Team de Sol (46.44) was third followed by Crystallettes (45.50), ICE’Kateers (43.42) and Adrian College (39.04).
With its Latin dance-themed free skate program, Miami also claimed first with a score of 105.24, the only team at the event to eclipse 100 points. Skyliners finished in second with a score of 97.30. Crystallettes (96.53) were third followed by Adrian College (90.19), ICE’Kateers (84.81) and Team del Sol (83.62).
Miami’s senior team is back in action along with the RedHawks’ collegiate and junior teams at the Dr. Porter Classic Dec. 4-6 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
