Junior Team in Third at Midwesterns

EDINA, Minn.—After the first day of the Midwestern Championships, the Miami University junior synchronized skating team sits in third place among the seven-team field. Skating their short program to a Jock Jams Megamix, the RedHawks posted a season-high score of 45.96 despite one fall.
Team Braemar leads the junior field with 49.00 points. Miami trails second-place Chicago Jazz, who posted a score of 47.62, by just 1.66 points. Crystallettes sit in fourth place with a short-program score of 43.40 followed by Fond Du Lac Blades (42.92), Starlights (42.74) and Hockettes (40.76).
The RedHawk junior team will be back in action on Saturday for the free skate event as will the Miami collegiate team.
