The Miami University collegiate and junior synchronized skating teams return to the ice this weekend, Jan. 30-31, when they compete in the Midwestern Championships in Edina, Minn.
The RedHawks collegiate and junior teams both won gold in their last outing when they skated at the Mid-America Championships two weekends ago. This will be the final tune-up for the Miami collegiate team before the U.S. National Championships at the end of February, while the junior team travels to Marlborough, Mass., to compete in the Junior World Qualifier next weekend.
Miami’s collegiate team skates its program to music from the movie “Nine” featuring the songs “Cinema Italiano” and “Be Italian”.
For the junior short program, the RedHawks will skate to the “Jock Jams Megamix”. The free skate program is choreographed to music from the musical “Aladdin”.
