Miami Athletes of the Week

OXFORD, Ohio – For their performances last week football senior defensive back Quinten Rollins and basketball freshman guard Baleigh Reid are Miami’s Athletes of the Week connected by Frontier Communications for the week of Nov. 25-30.
Rollins had six tackles and two interceptions in a 24-21 loss versus Ohio on Tuesday night. His first pick was returned 27 yards for a touchdown, the first of his career, while his second pick saved a touchdown in the second half.
This is the second time this season and fourth time in his career that Rollins has been named Miami’s Male Athlete of the Week. He previously won it for the week of Sept. 15-21
Reid continued her stretch of scoring in double figures during every game to begin her college career. Against Oakland on Friday, she finished with 11 points, including the first career three-pointer. Reid followed that up by leading Miami with 10 points against 16th-ranked Michigan State. She also an assist, a block and two steals against the Spartans. For the week, Reid averaged 10.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
This is the first time in her career that Reid has earned Miami’s Female Athlete of the Week honor.
