Swimming Opens with Intrasquad Meet

OXFORD, Ohio—Coming off a second-place finish at the Mid-American Conference meet last season, the Miami University women’s swimming and diving team, begins the 2014-2015 season with the annual Red vs. White Intrasquad Meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 4 in the Nixon Aquatic Center. There is no admission charge for the event.
The RedHawks return 26 members from last season, including seven seniors. Miami welcomes 12 newcomers to this year’s roster. Miami returns sophomore swimmer Stephanie LeMire, who earned First-Team All-MAC honors last season. The RedHawks also return three Second-Team All-MAC swimmers in junior Aubrey Kluth, sophomore Elise Campbell and senior Stephanie Pearce.
The Miami men’s swimming and diving team will also have their Red & White Intrasquad Meet on Saturday at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
The women’s team begins their season at Purdue on Friday, October 17.
