OXFORD, Ohio - Miami University's women's swimming and diving team has attained its highest ranking ever, checking in at No. 34 on the Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Poll for Feb. 12.
Coach Dave Jennings' RedHawks, who concluded a perfect 6-0 run in Mid-American Conference dual meet competition last Saturday with a victory over Ohio, have an 11-1 record overall.
Florida, Southern California and Texas are ranked first-through-third in the poll, while Miami joins only Harvard (No. 8), Princeton (No. 20), Columbia (No. 22), San Diego State (No. 29), Yale (No. 35) and Cornell (No. 38) among Mid-Major schools who earned recognition in the Top 40.
"I'm excited about our ranking," said Jennings. "That's a tribute to our women who've really elevated their game this year. Our seniors have done a great job in leading this team and that's why we're at where we are today."
