OXFORD, Ohio -- MURedHawks.com concludes its salute to Miami University's Olympic Trials swimmers, today featuring former RedHawk breaststroker Maddie Kete (Bay Village).

A three-time Miami letter winner, Kete earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) and first-team Academic All-MAC honors as a swimmer. At the 2012 MAC Championships, she was a member of four different relay squads that scored major points, including the 200 medley relay unit that tied for first place. Individually, Kete placed fourth in the 50 freestyle, seventh in the 100 free, 12th in the200 free and 13th in the 200 butterfly.
Four other Miami University women's swimmers--Maegan O'Connor (Fishers, IN), Bekka Westrick (Fairfield), Leah Thornton (Helena, AL) and Miami alumnae Megan Brunn (Mansfield)--also have qualified to compete at this summer's Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb. from June 25 through July 2.
The Olympic Swimming Trials will receive sixteen-and-a-half hours of live and tape delayed coverage on the NBC SPORTS NETWORK from June 25-July 2.
Divers Lacey Houser (Danville, IN) and RedHawk diving alum Chris Heaton (Centerville) are currently competing at the Olympic Diving Trials in Federal Way, Washington. The Olympic Diving Trials will receive nine hours of live and tape delayed coverage on the NBC SPORTS NETWORK from June 19-22.
