Kete Qualifies for Olympic Trials

OXFORD, Ohio--Rising senior Maddie Kete (Bay Village, Ohio) joins five other RedHawk women's swimmers and divers who have qualified to compete at the 2012 Olympic Trials this summer. She joins swimmers Bekka Westrick (Fairfield, Ohio), Leah Thornton (Helena, Ala.), Maegan O'Connor (Fishers, Ind.) and alumna Megan Brunn (Mansfield, Ohio) along with diver Lacey Houser (Danville, Ind.), who had previously qualified, as the six RedHawk women's swimmers who will vie for a spot on the Olympic Team.
Kete qualified in the 50 freestyle in a time of 26.24 at the Ohio Swim Senior Circuit Meet, which was held in Oxford, Ohio May 18-20.
The Olympic Trials will be held in Omaha, Neb., from June 25 to July 2.
