TENNIS
Last Week: Miami (9-9; 4-0 MAC) fought off a pesky Eastern Michigan squad Saturday afternoon, earning a 6-1 decision over the Eagles. The win was 29th in row during regular-season Mid-American Conference play for the RedHawks. (RECAP) On Friday, the RedHawks picked up a 5-2 win at Toledo. (RECAP) This Week: Miami returns home to host Bowling Green on Friday and Western Michigan on Saturday. Both matches are set for 1 p.m.
MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
Last Week: A pair of young sprinters earned individual event wins to lead Miami to a second-place finish among the 13-team field Saturday at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati. The RedHawks totaled 123 points to take runner-up honors. Sophomore Jahquil Hargrove won the 400m dash for the second straight meet, clocking 48.48. Freshman Skyler Coburn was also victorious, capturing the 400m hurdles in a personal-best 54.64. (RECAP) This Week: Miami returns home to host the Miami Invitational this weekend, April 6-7, at George Rider Track in the first of three home meets this year.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
Last Week: Behind one event win and three runner-up finishes, Miami finished third Saturday at the Nikoloff Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati. The RedHawks earned 83.5 points among the 14-team field. Senior Diona Graves won the 100m dash in 11.86, winning by three-tenths of a second. (RECAP) Senior Kelley Miller was tabbed the MAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week after breaking her own school record in the 1500m run at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami returns home to host the Miami Invitational this weekend, April 6-7, at George Rider Track in the first of three home meets this year.

BASEBALL
This Week: The RedHawks (15-12; 3-3 MAC) went 2-1 against Toledo over the weekend. Friday night's game was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to lightning, and the Rockets edged Miami 7-6 in the completion of Friday's game. Miami came back with a 5-3 victory against the Rockets in the second game Saturday. (RECAP) Shawn Marquardt pitched his third complete game of the year and Matt Honchel collected a career-best four hits for the second straight day as Miami routed Toledo 11-3 Sunday afternoon. (RECAP) This Week: Miami hosts Ohio State on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. before traveling to Ball State for a three-game weekend series.
SOFTBALL
This Week: Miami (19-12; 2-2 MAC) opened MAC play, capturing two hard-fought wins at Northern Illinois on Friday. The RedHawks won the opener, 8-5. They then took the nightcap, 7-6, in eight innings. Senior Daniela Torres notched eight RBIs during the doubleheader. (RECAP) Miami made a spirited comeback attempt in the top of the seventh inning at Western Michigan on Saturday, but a pair of home runs doomed the RedHawks, who fell to Broncos, 3-2. (RECAP) A tough fifth inning for Miami resulted in a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Western Michigan Sunday afternoon. (RECAP) This Week: Miami hosts Akron in a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. before hosting Ohio in single games on Saturday and Sunday, which are slated for 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
The RedHawk golf team returns to action this weekend, playing in The Rutherford, hosted by Penn State University in University Park, Pa.
Four RedHawk hockey seniors -- Cameron Schilling, Patrick Tiesling, Matt Tomassoni and Chris Wideman -- all singed professional contracts last week. (RELEASE) For the second straight year, junior forward Reilly Smith has been recognized by College Hockey News, as he was named to the 2011-12 All-CHN Second Team. (RELEASE) Senior goaltender Cody Reichard and his foundation, Swoop's Stoop, have been named one of just three finalists for the National Consortium for Academics and Sports' Giant Steps Award in the community organization category. The winner will be named on Friday, April 6 as part of the NCAS' annual National STUDENT-Athlete Day celebration. (RELEASE)
Miami announced its 2012 football schedule, which includes four Saturday afternoon contests and one on the Friday after Thanksgiving at Yager Stadium. (RELEASE)
Miami University Athletics and the Miami University Alumni Association announced the 2012 Miami Athletics' Coaches Caravan event schedule. The caravan, hosted in six cities in Ohio and also in Chicago, will provide Miami alumni, fans, and supporters the opportunity to get an up-close snapshot of select Miami student-athletes, coaches and personnel.
