OXFORD, Ohio - On Friday, Feb. 24, the Miami University hockey team will host CCHA rival Ohio State in its regular season home finale. Miami's Red Alert has dubbed the game a WHITEOUT.
"We are encouraging students and fans to wear white as they come out and support the RedHawks," said Red Alert Chief of Staff, Katie Chokreff. "We are hoping that this WHITEOUT will add to our already great atmosphere here at Miami hockey games."
Following the game, there will be a recognition for Miami Hockey's 10 seniors on Senior Night. Those seniors are Will Weber (defenseman), Cameron Schilling (defenseman), Chris Wideman (defenseman), Trent Vogelhuber (forward), Alden Hirschfeld (forward), Matt Tomassoni (forward/defenseman), Cody Reichard (goaltender), Connor Knapp (goaltender), Ben Saksa (goaltender) and Patrick Tiesling (forward).
This year, Miami's seniors have combined for 21 out of the team's 95 goals (22.1 percent) and 64 of the team's 157 assists (40.8 percent) while Knapp, Reichard and Saksa have combined to make all 773 saves on the year.
