WOMEN'S SOCCER
Last Week: The RedHawks (2-0) picked up a pair of 4-0 shutouts to open the season. Sophomores Katy Dolesh and Kayla Zakrzewski scored two goals apiece to power Miami to a 4-0 win over IUPUI in the season opener last Friday. (RECAP) Dolesh tallied her third goal of the weekend, while freshmen Kelsey Dinges and Emily Hyde each tallied their first career goals in a 4-0 win over Morehead State on Sunday. (RECAP) (PHOTO GALLERY) Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Allison Norenberg collected two shutout wins on the weekend. This Week: Miami hits the road for a pair of games, traveling to Xavier for a 7 p.m. game on Friday before going to Eastern Kentucky for a 1 p.m. game Sunday.
FIELD HOCKEY
This Week: Under first-year head coach Inako Puzo, Miami hits the turf this weekend for a pair of games to open the season. The RedHawks travel to Indiana for a 4 p.m. game on Friday and return Oxford for their home opener at noon on Sunday, Aug. 28.
VOLLEYBALL
Last Week: Senior middle hitter Cassie Farrell was selected to the East Division Preseason All-MAC Team and the RedHawks were tabbed to finish second in the MAC East Division in a vote of the league coaches. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami opens its season this weekend at the Quality Inn/ASICS Classic hosted by Indiana State. The RedHawks take on Coppin State and Eastern Illinois on Friday and battle host Indiana State and Chicago State on Saturday.

Football held its second scrimmage of the season on Saturday. (RECAP) (PHOTO GALLERY) On Monday, Aug. 29, the RedHawks will be holding the inaugural Football Kick-Off Luncheon presented by The Oxford Chamber of Commerce at noon at Millett Hall. Tickets to the luncheon are available for purchase until Aug. 22 by calling the football events hotline at 513-529-2409 or emailing miamifootballevents@muohio.edu. The team is less than three weeks away from its opener and season tickets are still available by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 513-529-4295 or clicking HERE.
The men's and women's basketball teams announced their 2011-12 schedules last week. The RedHawk men host 14 home games and open the season Nov. 15 at home against Dayton. (RELEASE) The Miami women host a record 16 home games and host Massachusetts in their home opener on Nov. 19. (RELEASE)
Thirteen former RedHawks who now play ice hockey professionally will return to Oxford Aug. 22-26 for Miami Hockey's inaugural pro camp, where they will have the chance to improve their skills on the ice that they once called home. (RELEASE)
Former Miami track standout Dan Huling continues to make a name for himself on the international level, as he was named to the U.S. Track & Field Team that will compete at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea. Huling was one of 66 men to make Team USA's roster for the biennial meet, as he will compete in his second straight IAAF World Championships, which runs from Aug. 27 to Sep. 4. (RELEASE)
Miami All-Access powered by the Miami Bookstore is bursting at the seams as the Athletic Department has unveiled new plans for the audio and video arm of MURedHawks.com. In addition to football and hockey, which were previously shown, subscribers will now be able to watch men's and women's basketball, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, men's and women's swimming and diving, baseball and softball. Additionally, subscribers will have early access to Miami Magazine and game highlights, plus see special subscriber-only interviews and features. During the 2011-12 athletic calendar year, more than 100 live events will be aired over the internet platform. The subscription price is $9.95 per month or $79.95 per year, but new subscribers can receive a 10 percent discount through Sept. 2 by entering promo code 10MU10. Returning subscribers are being offered 20 percent off through a coupon they will receive in an email from Miami All-Access. (RELEASE)
