Skaters to Perform in Ice Show this Weekend

OXFORD, Ohio--Coming off a successful 2010-11 campaign, all three Miami University synchronized skating teams will perform one last time for the Miami and Oxford communities. The RedHawk skaters will take part in the annual Spring Ice Show at the Goggin Ice Center this weekend.
This year's theme to the Spring Ice Show is "Night at the Goggin."
Miami's senior team is coming off a 10th-place finish at the ISU World Championships and a silver-medal finish at the U.S. National Championships. The RedHawks will skate their short program to "Bridge over Troubled Water" and will perform their free skate program, which is titled "Hypnotized by a Dream."
The collegiate team--which won an unprecedented seventh straight national title, the most consecutive titles by any team at any level of synchronized skating--will perform its program, which is themed "Brazilian Carnival."
Miami's junior team, which finished sixth at the U.S. National Championships and represented the United States at Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria, will skate its short program to Pat Benetar's "Heartbreaker" and "Hit Me with Your Best Shot" along with its free skate program which is to a compilation of Broadway music.
