Football
Last Week: Sophomore wide receiver Nick Harwell posted his sixth 100-yard receiving game of the season and sophomore running back Justin Semmes ran for 100 yards to lead Miami (4-5, 3-2 MAC) to a victory over Akron Zips, 35-3, putting the RedHawks in a tie for first place in the MAC East Division. (RECAP) (PHOTO GALLERY) Junior quarterback Zac Dysert was named the MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week after the RedHawks' 41-13 victory over Buffalo on Oct. 28. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami hits the road for Philadelphia to battle Temple at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Volleyball
Last Week: The RedHawks (14-14; 5-9 MAC) picked up a pair of dramatic five-set wins on the road last weekend. After winning the first two sets at Akron on Friday, Miami let two sets slip away and trailed by as many as four points in the fifth set before clipping the Zips 15-13 in set five to snap an eight-match losing skid. (RECAP) Miami gained an important victory in its quest to clinch a spot in the upcoming MAC Tournament, capturing a 3-2 decision at Buffalo Saturday. (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks host their final two home matches of the regular season next week. On Thursday, Miami welcomes Bowling Green to Millett Hall for a 7 p.m. match. The Red and White then faces Western Michigan on Saturday at 4 p.m. Saturday's match is Senior Day, and the four RedHawk seniors will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
Ice Hockey
Last Week: Sophomore forward Max Cook broke a 1-1 deadlock in the third period to lead Miami (4-6-0, 2-4-0-0 CCHA) to a second straight 2-1 win over Alaska Saturday night at the Carlson Center, giving the RedHawks their first sweep of the season. (RECAP) Using a strong penalty kill and superb goaltending from senior goalie Cody Reichard, the Miami gutted out a 2-1 win over Alaska Friday night to snap a five-game losing streak and earn its first CCHA win of the season. (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks look to keep their momentum rolling when they return home this weekend to host No. 3/3 Michigan Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12 at Steve Cady Arena. Puck drop Friday is set for 7:35 p.m., while Saturday's game is slated for 7:05 p.m.
Field Hockey
Last Week: With their back against the wall, trailing 1-0, senior Amanda Seeley came to the rescue, scoring two goals to give the No. 5 seed RedHawks a 2-1 victory over No. 4 seed Ball State in the MAC Tournament Quarterfinals. (RECAP) Miami (7-15) went toe-to-toe with the top seed Ohio Bobcats in the semifinals Friday, but fell, 1-0, on a late goal to the eventual tournament champions. (RECAP) Sophomore Emily Gruesser along with seniors Kylie Landeros and Amanda Seeley were each selected to the All-MAC Second Team. (RELEASE) This Week: Season concluded.
Men's Basketball
Last Week: The RedHawks topped California (Pa.) in their exhibition game on Monday, 64-61, and senior forward Julian Mavunga led all scorers with 18 points. (RECAP) Mavunga was selected to the East Division Preseason All-MAC Team and Miami was predicted to finish fourth in the East Division in a poll of a 24-member MAC News Media Panel. (RELEASE) Tickets are now on sale for the Miami University men's basketball season opener against the University of Dayton Flyers. (RELEASE) It is not too late to order season tickets and be a part of an exciting season of Miami men's basketball! This Week: The RedHawks open the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 against Dayton in Millett Hall. The game has been declared a White Out.
Women's Basketball
Last Week: Miami used a dominating second-half defensive effort to earn a 72-32 victory over Slippery Rock in an exhibition game on Saturday. The RedHawks held The Rock to only nine points in the second half. Courtney Osborn led Miami with 14 points. (RECAP) Miami was picked to finish second in the MAC East Division in a preseason poll of the MAC coaches, sports information directors and members of the media. Juniors Courtney Osborn and Kirsten Olowinski were each selected as members of the Preseason All-MAC East Division Team. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami opens its season on Friday, Nov. 11 when it travels to Philadelphia to take on Temple at 7 p.m.

Synchronized Skating
On Saturday afternoon, the synchronized skating teams are gave family, friends and fans a sneak preview of the RedHawks' programs for the upcoming season. All three teams performed their competitive programs for the 2011-12 season. (RECAP) (PHOTO GALLERY)
Women's Swimming
Last Week: Sophomore diver Nikki Craft won twice and junior freestyler Bekka Westrick won once, but Miami (2-2; 1-1 MAC) fell at the hands of host Toledo, 179-120, Friday night. (RECAP) This Week: Miami hosts Kenyon College on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Men's Swimming
Last Week: The RedHawks were idle. Senior diver James Beres was named the MAC Diver of the Week for the week of Oct. 24-30 as Beres swept both diving events against Big Ten foe Purdue. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami hosts Ohio State at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 before entertaining Kenyon College on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Golf
Last Week: Miami finished in 18th place at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. Ben Peacock was the RedHawks' top finisher, tying for 36th place. (RECAP) This Week: Miami resumes its season Feb. 13-14 when it participates in the Mid-American Match Play Championship in Dade City, Fla.
Cross Country
Both the men's and women's cross country teams compete at the Great Lakes Regional Championship in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 12. The men's race begins at noon, while the women's race is set for 1 p.m.
Soccer
Awards: Three members of the women's soccer team garnered All-MAC honors, including a pair of first-teamers. Sophomore midfielder Katy Dolesh and junior forward Jess Kodiak each received First-Team accolades, while sophomore midfielder Kayla Zakrzewski was a Second-Team All-MAC recipient. (RELEASE) Kayla Zakrzewski also was named to the 2011 Capital One/CoSIDA Women's Soccer Academic All-District V Division I Third Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America. (RELEASE)
