RedHawk Notes
*Miami has won 10 of its last 15 games against MAC opponents.
*Miami's offense has totaled 118 total points in its last four games (41 vs. Buffalo; 35 vs. Akron; 21 at Temple; 21 vs. WMU), averaging 29.5 points per game.
*Miami's defense has yielded only 64 total points to its last four opponents--13 (vs. Buffalo), 3 (vs. Akron), 24 (at Temple) and 24 (vs. WMU)--an average of 16.0 points per game.
*Nick Harwell has 1,262 receiving yards in 10 games. A 200-yard receiving game against Ohio would place him in the MAC's single-season top five in that category.
*Quarterback Zac Dysert and receiver Nick Harwell have hooked up on seven of Miami's eight-longest plays from scrimmage in 2011: 71 yards at Toledo; 66 yards vs. Cincinnati; 66 yards at Minnesota; 52 yards at Akron; 48 yards vs. Bowling Green; 47 yards vs. Cincinnati; 45 yards vs. Army.
*Zac Dysert has 39 pass plays that have resulted in gains of 20 or more yards through the first 11 games of 2011. He had 26 plays of that length in 10 games a year ago.
*Zac Dysert completed 42-of-54 passes last Wednesday vs. WMU, breaking Ben Roethlisberger's nine-year-old school record of 41 completions (vs. Northern Illinois in 2002).
*Over the last five games, Zac Dysert has completed 73.3% of his passes (126-of-172), averaged 328 passing yards per game, and thrown 15 touchdowns.
*Miami's kickoff return defense yielded only 15.8 yards per return vs. Western Michigan last Wednesday, a figure less than what the Broncos were averaging (23.0). The RedHawks rank as college football's top defender against kickoff returns (14.5 ypr, 42 rets. for 609 yds).
