Ice Hockey
Last Week: Behind a pair of goals from freshmen Jimmy Mullin and Tyler Biggs, Miami jumped on No. 4/5 Michigan early and held on for the 2-1 win Friday night at an electric Steve Cady Arena, the RedHawks' first victory over a ranked opponent this season. (RECAP) Trailing 2-0 after one period, Miami (5-6-1, 3-4-1-1 CCHA) rallied to tie No. 4/5 Michigan, 3-3, before picking up the extra point in the CCHA standings with a shootout win Saturday night in front of a boisterous home crowd. (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks put their four-game unbeaten streak on the line this weekend as they host Bowling Green on Miami Hockey Alumni Weekend. Puck drop Friday is set for 7:35 p.m., while Saturday's game is slated for 7:05 p.m.

Volleyball
Last Week: In a match that saw a total of 41 ties and 17 lead changes, Miami earned a dramatic 3-2 victory over Western Michigan on Senior Day Saturday. Senior Cassie Farrell recorded a career-high 22 kills, to go with six blocks to lead the RedHawks (16-14; 7-9 MAC). (RECAP) Using a convincing opening and closing set, Miami earned a 3-1 victory over Bowling Green Thursday night that helped clinch a berth in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. (RECAP) Senior outside hitter Jenn Caylor was named to the 2011 Capital One/CoSIDA Volleyball Academic All-District V Division I Second Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced last Thursday. (RELEASE) Cassie Farrell was named the MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week last week after a pair of road wins at Akron and Buffalo. (RELEASE) This Week: The RedHawks have secured the seventh seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament. They will take on the second seed Ohio Bobcats on Friday at 7 p.m. at the tournament's new home, the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Football
Last Week: Sophomore wide receiver Nick Harwell set school records for receptions and receiving yards in a game and tied the record for 100-yard receiving games in a season, but it was not enough to overcome three costly RedHawk turnovers as Miami (4-6; 3-3 MAC) suffered a 24-21 loss at Temple on Wednesday evening at Lincoln Financial Field. (RECAP) Senior linebacker Jerrell Wedge was named Defensive Player of the Week for the Mid-American Conference's East Division after the RedHawks' 35-3 victory over Akron on Nov. 7. (RELEASE) This Week: Miami returns home to host Western Michigan at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16. The RedHawks will honor their seniors playing their last game at Yager Stadium prior to the game. Miami faculty and staff members who purchase tickets to the Nov. 15 Dayton men's basketball game can receive free tickets to the football game vs. Western Michigan. Additionally, football and men's basketball season ticket holders may receive free tickets up to their number of season tickets to the Western Michigan football game. (RELEASE)
Men's Basketball
Last Week: Tickets are now on sale for the Miami University men's basketball season opener against the University of Dayton Flyers. (RELEASE) It is not too late to order season tickets and be a part of an exciting season of Miami men's basketball! This Week: The RedHawks open the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15 against Dayton in Millett Hall. The game has been declared a White Out.
Women's Basketball
Last Week: A tough Temple defense and 24 offensive rebounds proved to be the difference, as Miami fell in its season-opener, 70-36, to the Owls. (RECAP) This Week: The RedHawks hit the road for a 7 p.m. game at Marshall on Wednesday, Nov. 16 before returning home for their home opener against UMASS at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Men's Swimming and Diving
Last Week: The RedHawks (3-2) won their battle last Saturday with the Kenyon Lords, 163-135, while Miami got two individual event wins from Anderson Whipp and Chris Gunnels. (RECAP) Miami faced its toughest test of the young season Friday, falling to 11th-ranked Ohio State, 149-122. Jimmy Beres won both the one- and three-meter events. (RECAP) This Week: Miami is off until hosting the Miami Invitational Dec. 1-3 at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Women's Swimming and Diving
Last Week: The RedHawks overwhelmed the Kenyon Ladies, 167-119, on Saturday afternoon. Miami's women got double individual victories from Bekka Westrick, Nikki Craft and Stacie Clagg. (RECAP) This Week: Miami is off until hosting the Miami Invitational Dec. 1-3 at the Nixon Aquatic Center.
Women's Cross Country
Last Week: Miami gave it everything they had en route to an 11th-place finish Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, hosted by the University of Toledo at Ottawa Park. Senior Maggie Bingham led the RedHawks for the fourth time this year, placing 37th in 21:32.1 in her final race. (RECAP) This Week: Season concluded.
Men's Cross Country
Last Week: Miami finished the season placing 17th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Saturday, hosted by the University of Toledo at Ottawa Park. Sophomore Dave Wing led Miami for the second time in his career and this year, as he finished 53rd in 31:33.2 in his first regional championship race. (RECAP) This Week: Season concluded.
Last week several teams signed student-athletes to National Letters of Intent: Ice Hockey, Women's Basketball, Softball and Volleyball.
