RedHawks look to improve second place standing

OXFORD,Ohio -- Miami senior Jason Hass is the RedHawk's top seeded male swimmer going into the last session of this weekend's Miami Invitational, held tonight at 6 p.m. at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center. Hass is seeded 7th in the 100-yard butterfly and 12th in the 200-yard individual medley.
The RedHawks other "A" finals qualifier, junior Chris Gunnels, will compete this evening in the 200-yard backstroke seeded ninth. Four teammates will compete in the "B" final of the same event.
Junior Brendan Melling is the top seed in tonight's 200-yeard breaststroke "B" final, cruising in just 8 hundredths shy of qualifying for the "A" final. Melling will also be competing in the "B" final of the 200-yard individual medley and 500-yard freestyle.
