Dec. 11, 2010 - Millett Hall - Oxford, Ohio

MIAMI GAME NOTES

  • Saturday's game marked the first time that Miami and Troy had ever met on the basketball floor.
  • Miami's 11 three-pointers were a season high, topping nine against Towson in the opener. The RedHawks allowed 13 treys by Troy, the most given up against an opponent this season. The previous high was eight on two occasions - by Duke and Ohio State.
  • Miami's nine turnovers were a season low. The previous season low was 11 against Xavier.
  • The 80-point total was a new season high for Miami. The RedHawks topped the 70-point mark for the third time this year, also reaching it against Saginaw Valley State (76) and Xavier (75).
  • Antonio Ballard reached double digits in rebounding for the second time this season. He finished the game with 11, one shy of his season high (vs. Ohio State). Combined with 10 points, it was his third career double-double, first of the season. Ballard has tallied at least 10 points in six of his eight games in 2010-11.
  • Ballard also tied a career-high with five assists.
  • Five RedHawks topped double figures in scoring, most in a game this year. In addition to Ballard, Julian Mavunga (16) , Orlando Williams (16), Nick Winbush (12) and Quinten Rollins (12) also hit the mark.
  • Miami shot 47.3 percent from the field against the Trojans, their third-best effort of the season. Over the past two games, the RedHawks have connected on 54-of-106 shot attempts (50.9 percent).
  • Miami's 15 assists were a season high, topping 12 on two occasions. The RedHawks have now had at least 10 helpers in four straight games.
